Shift : Day | 4x12-Hour | 07 : 00–19 : 30\nAlt Shift : Day | 4x12-Hour | 11 : 00–23 : 00\nContract Length : 13 Weeks\nHours per Week : 36 or 48 (12-hour shifts)\n\nPosition : Registered Nurse – High Acuity Med / Surg (MS / Tele / PCU)\nUnit Overview : \n\nHigh Acuity Med / Surg unit caring for a mixed MS / Tele / PCU patient population. The unit is fast-paced with varying ratios based on acuity. Staff must demonstrate flexibility and strong critical thinking skills to provide comprehensive, high-quality care.\n\nShift & Schedule Details : \n\nPrimary Shifts : 07 : 00–19 : 30 or 11 : 00–23 : 00\n\nWeekend Block Option : Friday–Sunday (add Thursday or Monday for 48-hour schedules)\n\nEvery Other Weekend / Every Other Holiday required\n\nNo Call Requirement\n\nFloat : Required—may include assisting as CNA or team RN as needed\n\nFirst-time travelers accepted\n\nJob Expectations : \n\nPerform Bedside Shift Reporting (BSSR) utilizing AIDET and hourly rounding\n\nDeliver safe, patient-centered care with effective communication and teamwork\n\nMaintain excellent customer service and phone etiquette\n\nRequired Experience & Skills : \n\nMinimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg experience\n\nBLS certification (required)\n\nExperience with at least one of the following : \n\nBowel resections, bariatric surgery, trach care, or epidural infusion\n\nComfortable managing high-acuity MS / Tele / PCU patients\n\nCommon Case Types : \n\nAbdominal Surgeries : Cholecystectomy, bowel resection, Whipple, etc.\n\nENT Surgeries : Thyroidectomy, laryngectomy, tracheostomy, etc.\n\nBariatric Procedures : Gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy\n\nComplex Wounds : Debridement, skin grafting, hyperbaric oxygen therapy\n\nUnit Attributes : \n\nStrong teamwork and collaboration\n\nWelcoming environment for agency staff\n\nFast-paced, supportive atmosphere requiring a solid Med / Surg foundation\n\nShift Info : Day | 4x12-Hour | 07 : 00–19 : 30
