Job description

Administrative & Operations Support

This job is a 29-hour part time, TRS covered, non-benefited, FLSA non-exempt position in the Technology & Operations that reports to the Supervisor of Operations.

Salary : Targeted salary is commensurate with education and experience not to exceed the budgeted amount of $15.60 per hour.

Day Schedule : Mon Thurs 9am 3 : 30pm and Fri 9am 2 : 30pm

Minimum Qualifications (Job Code H3002)

Any combination of training and experience which would have enabled the applicant to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities.

Preferred Qualifications :

In addition to the minimum qualifications, a minimum of six months' experience performing custodial duties.

Certain positions are subject to pre-employment and random drug testing. Refusal to take the test or a positive result will lead to separation and a 2-year ineligibility period for state employment. Additionally, for any employment offer that includes a required drug test, the test must be completed within 48 hours. Failure to comply will result in the offer being rescinded and a 2-year ineligibility period for state employment.

Job Description Summary :

Under general supervision, maintains proper care of Gwinnett Technical College facilities by maintaining a clean and sanitized environment. Cleans and maintain floors, surfaces, restrooms, and other spaces as assigned. Ensure restrooms and other facilities are properly stocked with appropriate products. If offered a position, employees in this department must complete the Hazardous Materials Training as well as the Bloodborne & Airborne Pathogen training annually.

Duties / Responsibilities :

Maintains proper care of technical college facilities.

Cleans and sanitizes facilities, including blinds, windows, light fixtures, drinking fountains and walls, following established procedures.

Thoroughly vacuum, sweeps, mops, scrubs, strips, waxes, and cleans building floors and carpets as needed.

Collects and disposes of trash

Thoroughly cleans trash receptacles.

Thoroughly cleans restrooms and fixtures. Ensure all toiletries and paper products are available for use.

Deep cleaning of Restrooms / classrooms / labs.

Floor maintenance.

Request proper supplies needed for each task and promptly return unused supplies to appropriate storage areas.

Performs deep, high level cleaning and sanitization at the direction of the supervisor

Support for Events and Other Facilities Related Activities :

Performs general repairs.

Assist with Set-up for campus events.

Moving Furniture / relocating offices / classrooms

Physical Demands :

This position requires moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another with or without reasonable accommodation.
