Merchandising Coordinator
This position is designated as a hybrid role based out of our headquarters near Portland, Oregon. The current expectation is for employees to work onsite four days per week, subject to change based on business needs. This in-office requirement may be adjusted at the discretion of the company.
As a Merchandising Coordinator, you will support Merchandising for US Footwear by assisting with trend reporting, seasonal planning, presentation development, and cross-functional coordination to meet key deliverables. This role offers hands-on experience with core merchandising functions, providing a strong foundation for a future career in product creation or merchandising.
How You'll Make A Difference
- Assist with the compilation of sales, buying, and market trend reports.
- Develop tools that provide category, distribution, or classification-specific views to help Product Line Managers understand trends.
- Facilitate information flows across the merchandising department through excellent written and verbal communication skills. This includes helping track and organize combined regional feedback at key product meetings and assisting in product presentations to buying and sales teams.
- Develop tools to assist with presentations, which may include classification maps, color overviews, decks, 1-pagers, CAD books, and tech pages. May also include event facilitation and organization.
- Seasonal flagging / responsibilities for First Adopt & Post Final Adopt product gates.
- Managing catalog creation and deadlines.
- Creating account assortments and segmentation plan visuals.
- Manage & distribute sales samples.

Bachelor's degree, applicable certification, or equivalent experience.2 years of relevant experience that includes prioritizing multiple efforts effectively to meet deadlines.An understanding of software and reporting tools used to collect relevant data, such as Power BI.Thorough knowledge of PC and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe.The ability to travel up to 10%.Columbia Sportswear Company is an equal opportunity employer.
