Job Summary :

This is a first level technician role which performs visual inspection of vials and bags in the Packaging Dept. The task includes inspection per applicable procedures meeting the standards established to prevent product contamination and maintaining records / logs neatly and accurately and in accordance with current standard procedures. The technician performs job tasks in a safe manner while following specific department safety rules.

Essential Job Duties :

• Primarily Responsible for visual inspection of final container product / media in vials and bags. Must be fully qualified in visual inspection
• Secondarily responsible for supporting packaging operations (Auxiliary Functions)
• Complete technical training profile as required.
• Strict adherence to Dept. Safety Rules and GMP requirements.
• Perform real-time documentation during the inspection run.
• Detailed cleaning of equipment / facilities to MSP / cGMP standards.
• Support and comply to the compliance requirements of the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System

Job Requirements :

Occupational Demands : Work is performed in a manufacturing environment or warehouse with rotating shifts. Exposure to biological fluids with potential exposure to infectious organisms. Exposure to chemicals, electrical manufacturing equipment, hand tools and moving machinery. Operates forklifts, tractors and power equipment. Exposure to high levels of noise and to dust / gas / fumes / steam. Exposure to extreme cold below 32

The estimated pay scale for the Manufacturing Packaging Technician role based in Los Angeles, CA, is $20 to 20.60 / per hour. Additionally, the position is eligible to participate in up to 5% of the company bonus pool.
