About The Position

General Surgery – Locum Tenens Assignment

📍 Location : Kentucky

📆 Dates : December 22–29, 2025

💵 Pay :

$2,000 / day for 24-hour call

$300 per call back

Opportunity Highlights :

24-hour call coverage (7AM–7AM)

Hospital-based general surgery consults and ED call

Minimal trauma involvement

Supportive OR staff : CSTs, RNFAs, First Assists

EMR : EPIC

Robotics available (for certified providers)

Average volume :

1–3 surgical cases / day

2–4 consults / day

Patient Demographics :

Ages : Pediatrics to Geriatrics

Pediatric cases typically limited to skin & soft tissue (at physician discretion)

Required Procedures :

General Adult Surgical Cases

Central Line & Chest Tube Insertion

Cholecystectomy

Hernioplasty

Colon / Small Bowel

Vascular Access Devices

Minimal Trauma Coverage

Requirements :

✅ Board Certified in General Surgery (ABoS)

✅ Active KY License or IMLC

✅ COVID Vaccination (Required by credentialing time)

✅ Clean background preferred

Credentialing Timeline :

⏳ ~120 days — Early onboarding encouraged (starting June)
