A well-established Union, Mechanical Contractor is seeking an experienced HVAC Project Manager. This role requires a strong background in managing, public, commercial projects, with an emphasis on sheet metal systems, refrigeration piping, VRF, Boilers, AHU, RTU's, Condensers, Condensate piping and hydronic piping (Pipefitting) as well as understanding the controls end of the system for a complete start up / commissioning.
The HVAC Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from award to completion
Our office works remote 2-3x a week, 1-2x a week on site at projects and 1-2x staff meeting in the office. Schedule varies based on needs
The HVAC Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and HVAC projects from start to finish. This includes managing budgets, timelines, subcontractors, and customer relationships, while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
Responsibilities include :
- Manage all phases of HVAC projects, including, scheduling, procurement, installation, and closeout.
- Coordinate internal resources and third-party contractors or vendors for flawless project execution.
- Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress.
- Ensure resource availability and allocation.
- Handle project documentation including contracts, submittals, change orders, RFIs, and close-out documents.
- Conduct site visits to monitor work progress and quality control.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with engineering, sales, and service teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Identify and mitigate project risks.
- Manage project budgets and report on project financials.
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and other management.
- Ensure the successful execution, documentation, and daily management of all projects, including scheduling projects, and AIA payment schedules
- Assign manpower by task- allocate hours and create cohesive construction schedules for team and subs in totality
- Managing submittals and RFIs
- Ability to create a schedule of values and track costs / profits- CTC’s, WIP’s financial forecasts
- Coordination and procurement
- Monthly billing and change orders
- Job site progress tracking and field verification
- Weekly site meetings and internal scheduling
- Creating and maintaining O&M manuals and as-built drawings
- Project closeout and documentation
