Define and lead PayPal’s global Developer Platform and Developer Experience strategy, shaping how millions of developers discover, onboard, integrate, and scale with PayPal
Own the vision and execution of a unified developer platform, reducing friction across the developer journey while enabling scale, extensibility, and consistency across PayPal products
Build and lead the Developer Platform & DevEx product organization, including hiring, mentoring, and developing senior and technical product managers
Partner closely with Engineering, Developer Relations, Marketing, and other product teams to ensure developer feedback directly informs platform design, prioritization, and execution
Define and drive a holistic developer experience strategy across APIs, SDKs, documentation, tooling, CLI, MCP, and emerging AI-assisted developer workflows
Develop and execute a cohesive DevEx roadmap that measurably improves developer onboarding, integration time, time-to-first-transaction, and overall developer satisfaction
Support the diverse needs of developers across businesses of all sizes, with a focus on simplifying integrations and accelerating developer productivity
Operate effectively in a highly matrixed, multi-product environment to drive alignment, execution, and transformation across platform initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of experience building and leading platform or infrastructure-adjacent product organizations within large-scale, developer-centric technology companies
Deep technical fluency in platform architecture, including APIs, SDKs, and developer tooling, with the ability to engage as a peer with senior engineering leaders and influence architectural decisions
Proven experience driving platform strategy at significant scale, balancing developer experience, reliability, performance, security, and extensibility
Strong judgment in platform and systems trade-offs, including versioning, backward compatibility, governance models, and long-term maintainability of developer-facing interfaces
Demonstrated leadership in improving developer experience, including onboarding, integration quality, and overall developer productivity
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience influencing senior technical and executive stakeholders in complex, ambiguous environments
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; advanced degree or equivalent practical experience preferred
