BizFirst is assisting our client with recruiting a full-time Working Capital Fund Financial Advisor to support a high-impact strategic financial advisory initiative with the U.S. Space Force as part of the Enterprise Space Activity Group (ESAG). Our client is a boutique consulting firm that delivers its niche expertise to help the federal government execute strategic initiatives, optimize financial processes, modernize operations, and implement policy-level reforms across defense and intelligence agencies.

What You Will Do
In this role, you will serve as a senior-level strategic financial advisor to Air Force and Space Force leadership. You will be responsible for guiding the development and implementation of enterprise-wide financial strategy and policy, with a focus on the Air Force Working Capital Fund (WCF). You will play a key advisory role in high-level decision-making, ensuring financial strategies align with mission objectives and broader DoD fiscal policy. Your expertise will help shape long-term investment planning, stakeholder coordination, and institutional change across the enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Advise senior Air Force and Space Force leadership on financial strategy, policy development, and governance of the Working Capital Fund
- Lead the formulation of comprehensive strategies, timelines, and stakeholder engagement plans for enterprise-wide initiatives
- Provide policy recommendations that align with evolving defense priorities and fiscal constraints
- Support senior decision-makers by presenting options, conducting impact analysis, and framing tradeoffs related to financial operations and reform
- Collaborate with functional and technical teams across the Department of the Air Force to ensure alignment of strategic financial direction with operational realities
- Ensure compliance with DoD-wide financial policy and internal control frameworks
- Serve as a key liaison across major stakeholders in the Pentagon, SAF / FM, Space Systems Command, and external audit bodies
- Present high-level briefings, white papers, and performance updates to senior government executives and stakeholders
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (Any field)15 years of financial management experience in Air Force / Space Force or Department of Defense (DoD) leadership rolesDemonstrated experience in strategy and policy development advisory rolesProven ability to detail comprehensive strategies, timelines, tasks, stakeholder engagement plans, and policy considerations for Air Force-wide initiativesSecurity Clearance : TS / SCI required at time of award and maintained throughout contract performanceBenefits
