Overview :
We are seeking a highly skilled Welding Specialist with expertise in advanced welding operations, including automated systems, robotic cells, and laser welding technologies. This role is ideal for a seasoned welder who thrives in a precision manufacturing environment and is passionate about automation and process optimization. This role is 5 days on site with a shift schedule of 6 : 15am-2 : 45pm shift (PST) in Seattle, Washington.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Set up and operate various welding processes including :
- MIG, TIG, Stick
- Laser welding systems
- Robotic welding cells
- Automated welding equipment
- Program and operate robotic welding systems
- Configure and optimize laser welding parameters
- Perform complex welds on materials such as steel alloys, aluminum, titanium, and nickel-based alloys
- Develop and refine welding procedures for both manual and automated processes
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot automated welding systems and PLC interfaces
- Conduct visual inspections and support weld testing procedures
- Execute proper material preparation and fit-up techniques
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, welding symbols, and GD&T
- Provide technical feedback on weldment design and manufacturability
- Mentor and train junior welders in manual and automated techniques
