The Career Services Coordinator actively promotes and develops career development training for students and employment opportunities for graduates.
Minimum Requirements :
- Completed a Bachelor's degree, preferably in counseling, human resources, business administration, or a related field.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English (written, read, and verbal).
- Prior related experience in the staffing industry or a related industry is preferred
- Persuasive communication skills, with an orientation toward results
- Ability to work extended hours (which will include evenings and weekends), in order to meet business objectives.
Essential duties and responsibilities :
Works to place students in the field for which they are trainedConducts market outreach, job and internship developmentDevelops and maintains employer and community contactsPrepares student files and ensure completion of all necessary documentationProvides career development opportunities for students on an on-going basisDevelops, implements and continuously enhances a Life Skills program as part of curriculumMaintains accurate database of student and graduate filesActively participates in on-campus events, programs and promotionsAssists with coordination of annual graduation ceremonyAssists with preparation of annual reports as required by regulatory agenciesSupports Career Services Director to achieve required placement statisticsManages and updates job bank databaseProactive follow-up and tracking of all graduatesPrepares students for and conducts exit interviews and / or portfolio reviewsBenefits :
