Summary :

Join a successful and growing aerospace company in Irvine, CA, as an Algorithms Video Engineer. This role focuses on cutting-edge video processing technology, where you will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of advanced computer vision and video processing pipelines. Play a vital role in advancing Human Space Exploration!

Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement computer vision algorithms on embedded systems for identifying, tracking, and classifying airborne and ground-based objects using high-speed cameras.
  • Design and optimize AI / ML models for deployment on resource-constrained embedded platforms, focusing on memory, processing power, and energy efficiency.
  • Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, system design, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Evaluate and optimize algorithms to ensure efficient and accurate real-time performance of high frame rate machine vision systems.
  • Stay updated on advancements in AI, machine learning, and computer vision; propose innovative solutions to enhance product offerings.
  • Effectively document and communicate technical concepts, algorithms, and implementation details to team members and stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and technical expertise to support their professional growth.

Must Haves :

  • 3+ years of industry experience in developing and implementing machine learning and computer vision algorithms and workflows.
  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of AI / ML techniques, deep learning frameworks, and computer vision.
  • Strong programming skills in C / C++ and Python.
  • Experience with hardware-software integration and optimization for embedded systems, including GPU acceleration and multi-core processing.
  • Familiarity with video processing pipelines and workflows.
  • Proficiency in working with ARM-based SoCs and microcontrollers.
  • Knowledge of basic image processing techniques, camera systems, and sensor integration.
  • Understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and software development for embedded systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong communication skills for conveying complex technical concepts.

    • Nice to Have :

  • TC / SCI or Secret Clearance.
  • Experience in embedded software development is a plus.
