Job descriptionMaintenance Oversight : Oversee routine facility and equipment maintenance, including boilers, AC filters, plumbing, and electrical systems, while troubleshooting issues to minimize downtime. Develop and execute preventative maintenance schedules and manage inventory and parts ordering to ensure smooth operations. Specialized Equipment Management : Maintain and optimize specialized egg processing equipment, including washers for sanitation, accumulators for egg orientation, high-speed breakers processing over 200,000 eggs / hour, and pasteurizers to ensure continuous operation. Ensure each machine runs at peak performance to maximize efficiency and minimize loss. Process Improvement : Monitor equipment during production to identify inefficiencies, implement upgrades, and test adjustments in collaboration with the team. Lead innovative initiatives to improve performance metrics such as egg loss and fill rates, enhancing overall plant functionality and reliability. Team Leadership : Supervise, train, and support maintenance staff while fostering collaboration with production and quality teams to align on priorities. Occasionally assist on the production line to gain firsthand insight and strengthen teamwork. Compliance and Safety : Ensure all maintenance activities comply with HACCP, SQF, and FDA standards. Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance for audits and regulatory compliance. Required : Proven experience in industrial maintenance (food processing / agriculture preferred), strong mechanical / electrical / plumbing knowledge, and leadership experience. Preferred : Background with liquid egg breaking and processing equipment, pasteurization systems, and welding skills. Attributes : Proactive problem-solver, strong communicator, collaborative leader, and innovative thinker.
