C Miami Coconut Grove.

An oasis within bustling South Florida surrounded by breathtaking views of Biscayne Bay and the Coconut Grove skyline.

Designed by the world-renowned architecture firm Arquitectonica, the hotel’s interior features a nautical motif by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio.

A total of 100 guestrooms and suites with private outdoor terraces, a new Italian dining concept with indoor and outdoor seating and its rooftop Bellini Restaurant and Bar provide guests with attentive European service, complimented by luxury accommodations and amenities.

YOUR ROLE AS A BARTENDER We are looking for an enthusiastic Bartender to provide an excellent guest drinking experience.

Good Bartenders will be able to create classic and innovative drinks exceeding customers’ needs and expectations.

Compensation includes salary and tips.

Your ultimate goal will be to provide high-quality service that will help us maintain and attract customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES :

  • Delivers the brand promise and provides exceptional guest service at all times.
  • Provides excellent service to internal customers.
  • Handles all guest and employee complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Communicates immediately all guest complaints to the Bar Manager and the Restaurant Manager.
  • Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.
  • Ensures that all hotel, company and local rules, policies and regulations relating to money handling and licensing are adhered to.
  • Exhibits and executes a complete knowledge of the venue’s sequence of service and selling technique.
  • Prepares all products according to established venue recipes, focusing on proper portion size control.
  • Constantly provides customers with accurate information about the venue and property as well as entertainment offered in each.
  • Communicates and works with all support staff to ensure the bar is properly stocked and prepared for operations.
  • Communicates and works with all support staff to ensure inventory is maintained at established par levels.
  • Work with a sense of urgency to anticipate customer needs and assist other team members when the opportunity arises.
  • Communicates with management & service staff to rectify any and all customer needs, comments or incidents.
  • Complies with all state and federal liquor laws.
  • Must be able to provide an upbeat, energetic, fun atmosphere at all times.
  • Employees will be required to engage and interact with customers in a fun, playful manner.
  • Must be able to stand or walk a minimum eight-hour shift and work inside assigned bar area in the venue.  Must be observant and quick to respond to various situations while also multitasking and handling stressful situations.

Must be able to operate :

  • POS cash register, two and six wheel carts, juice, soda and liquor guns, cutting boards, espresso machine, ice machines, shot glasses, mixers, pourers, blenders, soda / wine / juice hook-ups, and knives.
  • Must be able to twist, tow (push or pull), reach, bend climb and carry objects as necessary.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and manually push / pull up to 150 pounds.
  • Must be able to use hand motion when preparing and pouring all types of drinks for customers.
  • Must be able to work in a fast pace and high-volume environment in the presence of areas containing second hand smoke, high noise levels, dancing, bright lights and dust and communicate during this time – sometimes within a small area.
  • Must be able to work inside and outside at all times of the year as needed, based upon business volumes.
  • Attends and contributes to all training sessions and meetings as required.
  • Exercises responsible behavior at all times and positively representing the hotel team and Mr.
  • C Hotels.
  • Maintains strong, professional relationship with relevant representatives from competitor hotels, business partners and other organizations.
  • Reads the hotel's Employee Handbook and have an understanding of and adheres to the hotel's rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to computer resources, fire, hygiene, health and safety.
  • Ensures high standards of personal presentation and grooming.
  • Responds to changes within Guest Experience, as dictated by the industry, company and hotel.
  • Carries out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.          OTHER :

  • Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.  Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
  • Due to the cyclical nature of the industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
  • In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
  • Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with Cipriani rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the facilities.  Employees who violate organization rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
  • SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS :

  • In addition to the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions : Respond quickly and properly in any restaurant emergency situation.
  • Maintain an alert and attentive demeanor at all times in addition to remaining calm during periods of heavy business volumes.
  • Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the dining room.
  • The ability to perform other tasks or projects as assigned by Cipriani Management.
  • SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :

  • The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he / she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities : A minimum of two years of experience in a high-volume, service-focused restaurant.
  • Completion of mixology, barkeeping, or other related training required.
  • Must have a working knowledge of spirits, wine, and beer, as well as all other products offered.
  • Must be self-motivated, constantly striving to improve their already extensive knowledge of beverages.
  • Must be driven to focus on upselling at all times.
  • Possess basic computer abilities and experience working with a POS system.
  • Be able to maintain excellent customer service skills & high service standards in a constantly changing environment.
  • Possess a working knowledge of standard bar equipment, including dishwashers, slicers, coolers, ice machines, etc.
  • Must be fluent in the English language, both written and oral.  Multilingual skills are a plus.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Other :

  • May be required to work nights, weekends, and / or holidays.
  • PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION :

  • Most work tasks are performed indoors.  Temperature is moderated and controlled by facility environmental systems.
  • Able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for an extended period of time.
  • Able to lift up to 25lbs. and on a regular and continuing basis.
  • Able to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, twist, walk, crouch, squat and stretch to fulfill tasks.
  • Manual dexterity required to use and operate all necessary equipment.
  • Verbal, auditory and visual interactions occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees.
  • QUALIFICATION STANDARDS :

  • Education :   High school or equivalent education preferred.
  • Experience Required :

  • Minimum two years of serving experience required.
  • Licenses or Certificates :

  • Ability to obtain and / or maintain any government required licenses, certificates or permits.
  • Grooming :

  • All Employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Cipriani standards.
