Job Description :
- The Junior Instructional Designer supports the development and maintenance of training programs within instructor-led training (ILT) and eLearning environments.
- This role is responsible for assisting in the analysis, design, development, implementation, and quality assurance of training content.
- Working under the guidance of senior and staff instructional designers, the Junior Instructional Designer ensures materials align with established learning objectives, templates, branding standards, and accessibility requirements.
Roles & Responsibilities :
Content Development & Production
Update and refine PowerPoint decks for instructor-led and virtual training sessions.Assist in recording, editing, and implementing narration for eLearning and presentation-based content.Support development of facilitator guides, job aids, storyboards, and foundational eLearning modules.Ensure materials comply with branding guidelines, templates, formatting standards, and accessibility considerations.Instructional Design Support
Apply foundational instructional design models and adult learning principles under senior designer guidance.Align content with learning objectives, course outcomes, and established design standards.Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback from senior designers, subject matter resources (SMRs), and stakeholders.Systems & Documentation Management
Test eLearning courses in staging and production environments to ensure functionality and quality.Maintain course files, documentation, and digital assets within SharePoint.Manage version control, content updates, and publishing workflows.Ensure documentation is organized and aligned with governance processes.Track project timelines and provide status updates using tools such asCollaboration & Project Support
Assist senior / staff designers with project coordination tasks including note-taking, feedback documentation, scheduling review meetings, and communication tracking.Communicate effectively with team members, instructors, and SMRs.Research and gather learning technology and multimedia best practices to support project needs.Must Have :
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Communications, or related field (or equivalent academic / internship experience).Foundational knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning concepts.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint and Word required).Familiarity with authoring tools such as Articulate or comparable platforms.Exposure to narration / voiceover tools and multimedia editing software (, Adobe Creative Cloud).Strong written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational and time management abilities.High attention to detail with focus on quality and consistency.Nice to Have :
Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS).Exposure to tools such as Vyond, WellSaid, or similar multimedia / AI narration tools.Experience using project management platforms such asPrior internship, practicum, or academic project experience in instructional design.Understanding of accessibility standards in digital learning.
