Job descriptionDay Shift 6 : 45am - 3 : 15pm Required to work every other weekend DeSoto Experience with modified diets preferred (puree, ground, bite-size) High School diploma or GED Interpersonal communication skills Ability to follow oral and written directions and problem solve Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time Ability to be flexible to provide the needs of the individuals served General super vision will be provided by the Dietary Supervisor, but the employee must have the ability to work independently without direct supervision.

STARTING PAY OF $19.00 PER HOUR PLUS DIFFERENTIALS
WEEKEND SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL $2.00 PER HOUR

What does a Dietary Cook do?
- Provide quality meal preparation, service and delivery
- Process and prepare food according to each individuals dietary guidelines
- Perform a variety of routine kitchen duties
- Operate kitchen equipment
- Dishwashing
- General cleaning
- Adhere to federal, state, and local guidelines for safe and sanitary food handling, preparation, service and storage
- Serve as a positive role model
- Team-player who can also work independently
- Maintain attendance according to the policy of the agency and position
