Minimum qualifications :

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

8 years of experience in product design or UX.

Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).

Preferred qualifications :

Experience in creating video, editing and mobile products, or a record of building consumer product experiences across complex projects.

Understanding of the needs and workflows of video creators.

Knowledge of various Generative AI (GenAI) models and the latest advancements and the underlying principles of these technologies.

Ability to translate complex AI capabilities into a clear and compelling product goal.

As an Interaction Designer, you'll rely on user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences-from concept to execution. Like all of our UX jobs, you'll collaborate with your design partners to leverage and evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative, inspired products that people love to use.

In this role, you will be a thought leader and strategic contributor with in-depth knowledge of GenAI technologies who's excited about the future of video creation on YouTube and how GenAI can empower creativity.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $178,000-$265,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

Have an understanding of video creator user needs and GenAI technology, develop and advocate User Experience (UX) strategies to further empower video creation on YouTube.

Represent the UX team's perspective in strategic discussions and decision-making processes.

Advocate for user-centered design principles across the organization.

Build strong relationships and effective communication channels across the organization.
