Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Cardiac Cath Lab Discipline : RN Start Date : 11 / 17 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift : 10 hours, days Employment Type : Travel Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) Location : Washington, DC Start Date : November 17, 2025 We are seeking a highly experienced Cath Lab RN to join our team at a short-term acute care teaching hospital in Washington, DC. This is a full-time travel contract requiring advanced clinical skills in cardiovascular and peripheral procedures. The role demands precision, adaptability, and a commitment to excellence in patient care. Key Responsibilities : Provide nursing support for diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral procedures Monitor patients during left and right heart catheterizations, angioplasty, stent placements, and pacemaker insertions Administer medications and manage sedation per protocol Maintain sterile technique and assist with scrub and circulate duties Respond to emergencies and participate in rapid response interventions Ensure accurate documentation and use of Cerner charting system Schedule Details : Day shift : 4x10-hour (07 : 00–17 : 30) No holidays off Must be available to start on December 1, 2025 Qualifications : Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience At least one prior travel assignment Strong background in adult and geriatric cardiovascular care Proficient in hemodynamic monitoring and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias Required Certifications : BLS ACLS Skills Required : Diagnostic catheterizations (adult) Hemodynamic monitoring Permanent and temporary pacemaker insertion AICD insertion and programming Angioplasty and stent placement Fluoroscopy and EKG lead placement Isolation precautions and sterile field maintenance Facility Highlights : Short-term acute care teaching hospital 402 staffed beds Member of the Council of Teaching Hospitals (COTH) Cerner charting system Scrubs provided On-site parking available (cost applies) If you are a dedicated Cath Lab RN with advanced procedural experience and a passion for cardiovascular care, we encourage you to apply.
