Coast's mission is to deliver them at a transformational scale, beginning with the Coast Fleet and Fuel Card built on a cutting-edge spend management platform.

The Senior Product Designer will own the design of a modern payments platform targeting small to medium sized businesses. • Play a critical role in bringing design thinking and a user-centric perspective to the product development process
  • Lead design projects of significant complexity and scope
  • Collaborate closely with product and engineering to bring features from ideation to implementation

  • Become deeply knowledgeable about the product roadmap and user workflows
  • Find opportunities to iterate on and constantly improve the existing product

What We're Looking For :

  • 4+ years of experience, ideally at a B2B company or startup

  • Experience with maintaining and contributing to design systems
  • Portfolio that demonstrates user-focused thinking to create prototypes and high-fidelity designs
  • Demonstrated ability to understand a product at a deep level and to drive / participate in user research
  • Ability to balance the need for a beautiful, delightful interface with the pragmatic concerns of delivery
  • The ability to work independently with little oversight or management in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with high-energy and mission-driven colleagues
  • Good organization, with the ability to clearly communicate ideas and design principles
  • Nice to Haves :

  • Fintech experience (a plus, but not required)
  • Familiarity with Adobe CC
  • Critically, the candidate must be practical and business-minded, smart and creative, and excited about the rewards and volatility of an early-stage venture-backed startup.

    Compensation :

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of our total compensation package that also includes benefits, signing bonus, and equity. Pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including scope and qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to other Coast employees. We expect the majority of the candidates who are offered roles at Coast to fall healthily within the range based on these factors.

  • Salary range : $170,000- $190,000
  • Signing bonus
  • Equity grant : commensurate with level determined at the discretion of the company, with meaningful potential upside given the company's early stage
  • Benefits overview :

  • Paid parental leave
  • $400 accessories allowance for home office setup to be spent on a keyboard, mouse, headphones, etc.
