Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : RN Specialty : Telehealth Duration : 13 weeks Shift : AM Hours per Shift : 12 Experience : 18 months of Medical Surgical experience License : Georgia or Compact License in hand Certifications : NIHSS Required, BLS (Basic Life Support) Must-Have : IV Insertion, PICC Lines, Epic Experience, NIHSS Certification, Telemetry Interpretation Description : Registered Nurse with experience in Telehealth. Must have 18 months of Medical Surgical experience. Georgia or Compact license is required. NIHSS certification is mandatory. BLS certification is required. Skills in IV insertion and PICC line placement are necessary. Experience with Epic electronic health record system is preferred. Telemetry interpretation skills are required. Special procedures performed on the unit may include lumbar punctures, thoracentesis, NGT feeding, and NFT insertion. Top diagnoses and procedures include congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, diabetes mellitus, sepsis, pneumonia, gastrointestinal bleeding, altered mental status, hypertension, renal failure, and heart failure.
