Nationwide Therapy Group is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a travel job in Rockford, Illinois.

CT TECH

  • Shift : 12-hour shifts (06 : 00–18 : 30, 08 : 30–21 : 00, 10 : 00–22 : 30)
  • Schedule : Every 4th weekend, holiday rotation, on-call
  • Description :

    • Performs computed tomography (CT) procedures and related techniques

  • Administers x-radiation to produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation
  • May alternate shifts, weekends, holidays, and take call
  • Performs diagnostic CT procedures; may also perform radiographic, fluoroscopic, surgical, and portable radiographic exams
  • Corroborates patient clinical history with procedure, ensuring documentation for radiologist
  • Prepares patients, provides instructions, and minimizes anxiety
  • Selects and operates imaging equipment and accessories
  • Positions and immobilizes patients as necessary
  • Practices aseptic technique
  • Prepares and administers contrast media; starts and maintains IV access
  • Initiates basic life support (BLS) when necessary
  • Provides patient education
  • Assists with supply and equipment decisions; maintains inventory
  • Provides instruction for students and partners
  • Observes universal protocol, standard precautions, and patient identifiers
  • Applies patient safety principles during all procedures and transport
  • Education & Experience : Graduate of an accredited radiography program; 2 years CT experience required

    • Certifications & Licensure :

    ARRT Radiography registration

  • ARRT Computed Tomography registration
  • IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation
  • Approved CPR or BLS certification
  • Guaranteed Hours : 36
