The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of central processing procedures, sterilization techniques, and SPD operations. This role ensures that all surgical instruments and medical equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and prepared for safe patient care. Responsibilities : Perform decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and equipment. Inspect, test, and maintain instruments for functionality and cleanliness. Follow strict infection control and sterilization protocols. Operate autoclaves and other sterilization equipment. Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and inventory. Collaborate with surgical and nursing staff to ensure timely equipment availability. Adhere to hospital and department safety standards. Qualifications : Education : High School Diploma or equivalent required. Experience : Minimum 3 years of experience in sterile processing / central processing (CPD). Certification : Sterile Processing Technician Certification (CRCST, CSPDT, or equivalent) required. Preferred : Prior travel experience and strong SPD knowledge. Skills & Competencies : Strong understanding of sterilization and decontamination procedures. Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
