At least 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant in a clinical settingA caring, empathetic approach toward pets and their familiesStrong multitasking skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environmentReliability, professionalism, and a friendly attitudeBasic computer proficiency; experience with AviMark or similar veterinary software is a plusA collaborative spirit and genuine passion for veterinary careCritical thinking, curiosity, and a can-do attitudeA love for teamwork, teaching, and being taughtCommitment to compassionate medicine and a great client experienceWhat You'll Do
Assist veterinarians during exams, procedures, and surgeries to ensure safe, efficient patient carePerform blood draws, collect lab samples, and prepare tests with accuracy and attention to detailMonitor and record vital signs, administer medications under supervision, and provide gentle animal handling and restraintMaintain clean, organized treatment and exam areas following hospital protocolsCommunicate clearly with clients, educating them about their pet's care and ensuring their questions are answeredUpdate electronic medical records accurately (experience with AviMark preferred)Support the team as needed - from lab work to front desk help - to keep the hospital running smoothlyCelebrate the moments that matter - birthdays, babies, anniversariesThe Extras You'll Actually Feel
