ERMCO is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to support key financial operations, including fixed asset tracking, monthly close, and internal reporting. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is looking to build or advance a strong accounting foundation in a dynamic manufacturing setting. The Accountant will work cross-functionally and contribute to the company's financial accuracy, process improvements, and business growth.

Responsibilities

Support the month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, and financial reports

Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate / resolve variances

Review and code vendor invoices and employee expense reports

Assist with the development of budgets and financial forecast

Collaborate with operations, procurement, and finance teams to achieve financial objectives

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support special projects as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

2+ years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or credit analysis

Working knowledge of GAAP and internal control principles

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP / accounting systems

High attention to detail and strong organizational and analytical skills

Ability to communicate effectively and work independently or within a team environment

CPA certification or active pursuit of CPA licensure

Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Occasional lifting of files or paperwork
