Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg Telemetry RN experience

Prior travel nursing experience required

Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license

Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications

Proficient in reading and interpreting telemetry strips

Orthopedic nursing experience required

Ability to explain all work history gaps over 90 days

Skills checklist and RN license copy required for submission

Applicants must reside more than 60 miles from Farmville, VA

All requested time off must be submitted with application

Med / Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality patient care in the Med / Surg Telemetry unit

Monitor and interpret telemetry strips for cardiac patients

Apply orthopedic nursing skills as needed

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members, including students and new hires

Float to ICU to provide care for Med / Surg overflow patients as required

Support a culture of learning and professional development in a teaching hospital setting

Maintain accurate nursing documentation and adhere to hospital policies
