Lab Assistant I

Overview

ANNUAL SALARY (DEPENDING ON SKILLS / EXPERIENCE) : Hourly Rate $22.00

SCOPE : Perform routine medical lab tests for the diagnosis and treatment of patients as directed by the clinicians and lab director.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Specimen collection and venipuncture.
• Perform Injections.
• Maintain daily / weekly / monthly logs and documents.
• Run daily QC and perform routine maintenance on hematology analyzer for MD or CLS review and approve patient processing.
• Accept results automatically recorded by the hematology analyzer in LIS for MD review.
• Perform Quarterly proficiency testing.
• Perform Waived lab tests.
• Specimen Handling, processing, and send out to reference labs.
• Assist bone marrow biopsy, prepare specimen for transport
• Maintain orders and supplies
• Maintain lab facility
• Admin duties as assigned by manager
