Job description

JRIs Health Division is looking for an Outpatient Clinician located in Jamaica Plain MA interested in the social justice field as well as health and human services. JRI is a leader in social justice and one of the largest non-profit human service agencies in New England with over 100 programs and services. JRI Health is a division of Justice Resource Institute (JRI) that provides social justice and health and human services support to programs providing Housing Legal Advocacy Peer Support Medical Case Management QTPOC Youth Drop-In Center Sexual Health services and much more.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $50000 to $75000 per year. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience education licensure certifications and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future.

What Youll Do :

  • Complete all required assessments treatment plans and additional clinical documentation for each individual served promptly employing trauma-informed and strength-based practices.
  • Ensure assessments are thorough and encompass individual family social and medical histories.
  • Develop a treatment plan based on assessment results collaborating with the individual served any partner / parent(s) / guardian / caregiver(s) and with necessary consent in consultation with other providers.
  • Clinicians must understand and apply trauma-informed practices effectively.
  • Engage in the intake and discharge processes as assigned by program leadership.
  • Provide tailored treatment which may involve working with the individual their entire family or a specific group dynamic to implement focused evidence-based interventions aimed at achieving therapeutic goals or improving ineffective interaction patterns.
  • Offer individual and group therapies as needed in accordance with site and program requirements and as directed by a supervisor.
  • Lead discussions on treatment planning that include input from all Treatment Team members family members agency workers and the individual. Monitor the progress of the individual in achieving their goals and objectives while assisting with access to community resources.
  • At the individuals request and if supported by the program for site-specific roles accompany families to meetings regarding the individuals behavioral health treatment needs in schools daycare foster homes and other community locations.
  • Participate in the discharge process by providing support to the individual served working with agencies to identify suitable aftercare services (if applicable) and collaborating with aftercare providers to facilitate a smooth transition.
  • Engage in recruiting priority population participants for programming and interventions such as SSP HIV navigation and case management services services for LGBTQ youth and HIV / STI testing and prevention services.
  • Provide coverage and support to the program as necessary including on-site services street outreach and community engagement.
  • Offer clinical support as needed including risk reduction counseling de-escalation support safety planning and risk assessments. Assess plan and prioritize individuals for telehealth and in-person services ensuring those at increased risk have appropriate access to in-person delivery. Any remote services must meet client needs and be discussed and approved by a supervisor beforehand.
  • Continuously develop knowledge and understanding of the history traditions values family systems artistic expressions and linguistic needs of the groups served. Utilize appropriate methodological approaches skills and techniques that reflect cultural understanding.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Requirements :

  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Minimum of Masters degree in Social Work Psychology Counseling from an accredited college or university required. Independent License preferred.
  • Community mental health program experience preferred; experience working with specialized populations of assigned program preferred.
  • Experience in therapy modality of the assigned program and harm reduction principles preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in growth and development at all age ranges supported by the program; able to obtain and interpret information in terms of the needs of mentally ill individuals who may also have complex medical needs; understanding of the range of interventions and treatment required by this population.

  • Able to work alone in an unsupervised environment.
  • Must have an active drivers license and daily access to a working registered insured vehicle.
