Telemetry Technician - Night Shift

Hourly Pay Range : $19.31 - $28.00 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Telemetry Technician - Cardiology - Night Shift Position Highlights : Sign on bonus : Yes Candidates hired into full-time Telemetry Tech positions (.9 or higher) for the Inpatient CV and Tele Unit at Elmhurst Hospital will receive a $5000 bonus paid in two installments ($2500 at 3 months and $2500 at one year) Candidate MUST have minimum 1 year Telemetry monitoring (or related) experience to qualify for the sign on bonus. Employee must pass Telemetry Test during orientation period. Position : Telemetry Technician Location : Elmhurst Hospital Full Time / Part Time : Full Time Hours : Night Shift (12 hours 7-7) Rotating Holidays / Weekends Required Travel : no What you will do : Under general supervision, monitors cardiac rhythms and pulse oximetry of patients to detect abnormal pattern variances via telemetry equipment. Notifies nursing and / or medical personnel according to established procedure. Performs clerical related duties as necessary. What you will need : Education : High School Diploma or GED Preferred Certification : EKG Certification Experience : Minimum three months of previous healthcare or monitor tech experience. Must pass initial and ongoing competencies. Unique or Preferred Skills : Experience monitoring rhythms of anywhere between 50-70 patients Experience with Philips Monitoring System Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions.
