PeopleTec is currently seeking a Sim Architect / VV&A to support our Huntsville, AL location.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Modeling and Simulation Engineer to join our team and play a key role in developing and executing complex IAMD simulations. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in simulation development, verification and validation (V&V), and test planning, preferably within a joint military environment. This role requires a deep understanding of digital and live / virtual / constructive (LVC) simulation testbeds and the ability to thrive in an Agile development environment.

Duties

Design, develop, and implement high-fidelity IAMD simulations using appropriate modeling and simulation tools and techniques.
Lead and participate in all phases of the simulation lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, integration, deployment, and maintenance.
Develop and execute comprehensive V&V plans to ensure simulation accuracy, credibility, and validity. This includes defining metrics, conducting tests, analyzing results, and documenting findings.
Create and maintain detailed Modeling and Simulation Support Plans (MSSPs) outlining the simulation architecture, data requirements, test procedures, and expected outcomes.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, analysts, and subject matter experts to ensure the simulation meets user requirements and supports program objectives.
Work in an Agile development environment, participating in sprints, daily stand-ups, and other Agile ceremonies.
Develop and execute test plans for both digital and LVC simulation testbeds, including hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) and software-in-the-loop (SWIL) testing.
Analyze simulation results and provide data-driven insights to support decision-making.
Document simulation design, development, and testing activities.
Stay abreast of the latest advancements in modeling and simulation technologies and methodologies.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.

Qualifications

Required Skills / Experience :

Minimum of 8 years of experience in modeling and simulation, with a focus on IAMD systems.

Deep understanding of simulation V&V principles and practices.

Proven experience developing and executing MSSPs, preferably in a joint military environment.

Hands-on experience with digital and LVC simulation testbeds, including HWIL and SWIL testing.

Proficiency in one or more modeling and simulation software packages (e.g., AFSIM, Suppressor, STK).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Must have a current driver's license.

Travel : 10%

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Active U.S. DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have a Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance during employment.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred

Desired Skills

Experience with specific IAMD systems and architectures.

Experience working in an Agile development environment.

Knowledge of DoD Mission Engineering and Model Based Systems Engineering Approaches.

Familiarity with DoD modeling and simulation standards and guidelines.

Experience with cloud-based simulation environments.

Programming experience in C++, Java, or Python.
