As the Medical Billing Coordinator, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely payment of claims and collections. Your responsibilities will include :
- Managing multiple components of the billing process
- Securing payor prior authorizations
- Processing patient and insurance payments
- Investigating and correcting denied claims
Your proficiency in these processes will help sustain the organization’s ability to deliver exceptional care to children who need it most.

Complete and submit all prior authorization requests to payors.Post insurance reimbursements to patient accounts in our medical software program.Ensure proper collection of new insurance information from existing clients and maintain current and accurate billing records.Manage Daily Reconciliation Report, Office Day at a Glance, and Revenue Report for Billing Manager.Continue to document and improve current accounts receivable and collections processes.Achieve maximum reimbursement for patient services provided.Maintain overall responsibility of patient and insurance billing, including resolving billing issues and discrepancies, and follow up on delinquent payments.Manage the “over 90-day” Unpaid Report.Oversee the January Project to obtain accurate patient demographic and billing information. Update all annually collected information into the billing software program.Protect patient rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.Attend community outreach functions and fundraising events as a representative of the facility.WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED :
Experience in medical claims and experience with electronic medical records.Ability to communicate both internally and externally in a professional manner by giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, and asking questions as appropriate.Experience in billing and reconciliation, working with healthcare providers and insurance claims, handling appeals and denials.Ability to adjust to situations involving repetitive, short-cycle operations carried out according to established standards and procedures.Understand HIPPA regulations for healthcare.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE :
2+ years of medical claims and billing experience required.High School Graduate.
