Duties / Responsibilities :

Electrical Installations : Installing wiring systems, electrical panels, lighting, and specialized equipment.
Maintenance and Repair : Diagnosing and fixing electrical failures, replacing components, maintaining backup systems, and troubleshooting.
Compliance and Safety : Ensuring installations meet codes and regulations, performing safety inspections, and adhering to guidelines like OSHA.
System Upgrades and Energy Efficiency : Upgrading systems for efficiency, installing energy-efficient solutions, and conducting energy audits.
Collaboration and Project Management : Interpreting blueprints, collaborating with other contractors, planning layouts, and training apprentices.
Preforms other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills / Abilities :

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Completion of a formal apprenticeship and valid electrician’s license required.

Ability to read blueprints.

Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.

Ability to use hand tools and power tools.

Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency with the National Electrical Code and local codes

Education and Experience :

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Completion of a formal apprenticeship and valid electrician’s license required.

Physical Requirements :

Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring.

Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.

Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Must be able to work in constricted areas.
