Must-Have : C-section experience, proficiency in fetal monitoring and handling fetal distress, experience with high-risk patients, ability to assess and manage OB emergencies until provider arrival

Description :

The position requires a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse with a minimum of 3 years of experience.

Candidates should have C-section experience.

Must be proficient in fetal monitoring and actions taken for fetal distress.

Experience caring for patients with pre-eclampsia is required.

Clinical background in high-risk patients is necessary.

Nurses will be responsible for managing OB emergencies until the provider arrives.

The facility has 7 Labor & Delivery beds, 2 Triage beds, and 10 Postpartum beds.

There are 1-3 births per day, summing to approximately 830 births per year.

Ratios are typically 1 : 2.

Support staff includes Patient Care Technicians and Health Unit Secretaries.

Floating to other units may be required, usually MedSurg.

Candidates must be able to function in L&D and couplet care as needed.

Weekend shifts will be required as part of the scheduling.

Call will be one shift per 4-week schedule.

All required certifications must be maintained and current.

Candidates should have clean files and a good Sizzle Statement for quick interview consideration.

Extension approvals are typically granted most of the time.
