Job Overview / Summary :

The Physical Therapist evaluates, plans, and administers therapeutic procedures in physical medicine and rehabilitation as prescribed by a referring physician. This role establishes individualized physical therapy goals, provides treatments, and regularly reassesses patient progress, documenting all findings accurately.

Responsibilities :

Conducts thorough physical therapy evaluations to assess patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans.

Administers safe and effective therapy treatments, ensuring all interventions are appropriately documented.

Reassesses and adjusts treatment plans within appropriate timeframes based on patient progress.

Provides clear, concise, and accurate documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and billing information.

Educates patients and families on exercises, treatment goals, and post-therapy care.

Operates therapy equipment safely and maintains a clean and safe environment.

Collaborates with referring physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.

Demonstrates population-appropriate competencies for all patient demographics.

Maintains compliance with safety, infection control, and risk management procedures.

Adapts to organizational changes professionally and addresses concerns through the proper chain of command.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Maintains regular and reliable attendance.

Complies with all facility policies and standards.

Primary Skills :

Extensive knowledge of physical therapy principles, therapeutic techniques, and safety standards.

Ability to conduct comprehensive evaluations and create effective care plans.

Expertise in therapy equipment usage and documentation / billing technology.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Strong time management and organizational skills.

Commitment to ethical practice and professional development.

Secondary Skills (Good to Have) :

Experience working with diverse patient populations.

Familiarity with quality improvement processes.

Ability to mentor or guide support staff.

Qualifications :

Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) required

0 2 years of experience in a physical therapy setting required
