Description :

The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities.

The RN focuses on the prevention of illness and injury and the alleviation of suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human responses.

Advocacy is a key component in the care of individuals and families.

The RN is responsible and accountable for compliance with all standards of practice and professional development.

This includes adherence to nursing regulations, policies, and ethical codes.

The RN promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include :

Assessing, planning, delegating, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing care.

Managing a group of patients and serving as a primary nurse when designated by unit assignment.

Educating patients and families on health promotion and disease management.

Utilizing a working knowledge of pharmacology to safely administer medications.

Sharing in responsibility for productivity and effective resource utilization.

Complying with all nursing practice standards and regulatory requirements.

Participating in and supporting shared governance by engaging in improvement initiatives.

Actively engaging in professional development and completing mandatory education requirements.

Integrating nursing research and current evidence into practice.

Providing a supportive learning environment for new employees and students.

Performing additional duties as assigned.

The RN will follow all organizational values.
