Methodist Home for Children is seeking a full-time Youth Care Worker for its Transitional Living Home in New Bern, NC.
Salary : $15.00+ depending on education and experience.
FIRST THINGS FIRST... WHAT IS A TRANSITIONAL LIVING HOME?
These group homes serve teens who are on probation but cannot return home safely from a youth development center or other residential placement. Referred by juvenile court counselors, they stay for six to 12 months, working to finish school, identify career goals, get a job, volunteer, earn a driver's license, and learn to budget, cook and manage bills.
WHAT DO YOUTH CARE WORKERS DO?
The primary responsibility of Youth Care Worker is to provide program services to intervene with adolescents being served in the residential group home. Key responsibilities include :
