Overview
Were seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Jr. Observability Systems Associate to join our team in Lake Mary, FL. In this role, youll monitor, triage, and remediate alerts across our entire managed technology stack including RMM, backups, MDR, antivirus, SIEM, and vulnerability management platforms.
Youll handle common workstation, server, and network issues such as failed updates, storage capacity alerts, missed backups, or detected threats performing hands-on remediation and escalating complex issues as needed.
Youll also help improve the overall health and efficiency of our monitoring systems by optimizing RMM automations, refining alerts, and ensuring accurate system visibility.
This position is ideal for a technician who enjoys troubleshooting, following structured playbooks, and maintaining stable, secure, and well-documented client environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor client environments through RMM, backup, MDR, antivirus, SIEM, and vulnerability management tools.
- Helping to improve visibility, automation, and reliability across the entire monitoring stack.
- Respond to and remediate first-level alerts across workstations, servers, network devices, and firewalls in all of our management tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues such as failed patches, storage capacity alerts, backup failures, and connectivity problems.
- Administer and optimize RMM tools for system health, automation, and alert noise reduction.
- Refine alert thresholds, find custom monitoring rules, and assist with finding scripting and automation improvements.
- Verify and manage client backups, perform regular health checks, resolve failures, and conduct test restores.
- Monitor MDR, antivirus, and SIEM dashboards for incidents; assist with threat response and remediation.
- Support vulnerability management workflows by validating scan results and assisting with patching or remediation.
- Maintain endpoint and server patch compliance across client environments.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to escalate complex, recurring, or high-priority issues for deeper investigation.
- Document all actions, findings, and communications clearly within the PSA / ticketing system.
- Maintain and update internal documentation in the documentation platform, SOPs, and automation playbooks.
- Identifying and fixing root causes of alerts.
- Reducing alert noise by tuning thresholds and automations.
- Ensuring data from all systems is accurate, timely, and useful.
- Helping build a clearer picture of client system health for proactive maintenance.
Other Duties
Answer incoming phone calls and assist with client inquiries or ticket creation.Receive and organize shipments, maintaining inventory and distributing hardware or supplies as needed.Support the help desk team when required, including ticket triage, basic troubleshooting, and device setup.Watch training videos and attend classes to learn new technologies and discover ways to improve our tool stack and processes.A continuous learning mindset is highly valued in this role.
Requirements
13 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or system / network monitoring.Experience with PowerShell scripting.Hands-on experience supporting PCs, servers, networks, and firewalls.Familiarity with RMM and PSA tools (e.g., N-able, ConnectWise, Halo, Datto, NinjaOne, etc.).Understanding of backups, antivirus, patch management, and endpoint protection.Working knowledge of networking fundamentals and firewall troubleshooting.Strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and adherence to process.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Team-oriented with a proactive, customer-focused approach.Preferred Experience
Previous experience within a Managed Service Provider (MSP).Exposure to MDR, SIEM, and vulnerability management platforms.Familiarity with Windows Server, Active Directory, and common network device interfaces.Experience fine-tuning RMM alerts, thresholds, and PowerShell-based automations.Understanding of system health, patch compliance, and proactive maintenance best practices.Why Work With Us
