Summary :
The Clinical Manager is responsible for the management of nursing practice and operations on the nursing units. Promotes and participates in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to support the coordination of high-quality patient care. The Clinical Manager has the responsibility and accountability for the oversight of staff during orientation, education, achieving staff competencies consistent with the philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures of the nursing department and hospital administration. Identifies and prioritizes educational needs of the department while upholding excellence in nursing with the use of evidenced-based practice. Creates a positive environment that encourages staff to participate in the identification of areas with opportunities for improvement in patient care, and all related processes. Provides support to staff development and assists staff in developing critical thinking skills, prioritizing, and customer service skills while providing safe and effective care. Demonstrates integral involvement in QAPI and participates in hospital committees, advancing both professional nursing practice.
