Summary
The Account Manager II is accountable for delivering excellent and efficient service through day-to-day account management of an assigned group of accounts. The role focuses on achieving client retention goals, ensuring client satisfaction, and supporting a culture of accountability, integrity, trust, respect, and teamwork. The Account Manager II mentors Account Manager I and provides guidance to Account Manager Assistants and Producers. The role uses discretion and judgment in determining coverage needs for clients and in carrier and client negotiations.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Establish and build customer and carrier relationshipsReview contracts and agreements for insurance coverage compliance and address coverage issuesIdentify client insurance needs, gaps in coverage and loss exposureRecommend appropriate insurance coverage, bind coverage, and manage renewal policy production and deliveryAnalyze and compare insurance plans to determine suitabilityNegotiate terms, pricing, and conditions with carriersPrepare and maintain accurate summaries of insurance, schedules, and proposalsServe as a liaison between clients and carriers to resolve service issues and policy interpretationCollaborate with Producers in policy review and delivery, meet with clients occasionally to improve serviceContact clients regarding outstanding receivables; invoice clients; maintain accounting historyRequirements
5-7 years of experience in an Insurance Account Management role in required lines; brokerage experience preferredExcellent customer service, analytical, problem solving and conflict resolution skillsProficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office and automated agency management systemsAbility to work a regular, full-time schedule at HUB's facilities and travel as requiredSupervisory, project lead, mentor or team leader experience preferredEducation, Licensing Or Certification Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent required; College degree preferredCurrently licensed in good standing in required lines and states with CE creditsAdvanced professional designation highly desirable (e.g. AAI, ARM, CIC)Additional Information
