The AI Datacenter Product Lifecycle Management Intern – Summer 2026 Scope of Work
The PLM intern will support strategic and operational initiatives across the product lifecycle, with a focus on data analysis, portfolio optimization, and process improvement. Key areas of contribution include :
Product Portfolio Analysis :
Evaluate product performance using the 80 / 20 rule to identify high-impact SKUs and low-value “cats and dogs.” Recommendations will support smoother OBS transitions and portfolio simplification.
Pricing Discrepancy Investigation :
Analyze Tier 1 and direct pricing versus actual purchase history over the past few years. Identify inconsistencies and unused SKUs to inform pricing strategy and contract clean-up.
Installed Base Planning (IBP) Support :
Assist one or more PLMs in navigating the IBP process, including data gathering, forecasting alignment, and documentation. This will help standardize planning efforts across teams.
Cable Forecasting & Clean-Up :
Collaborate with Damon’s cable team to streamline cable data and forecasting processes. The intern will help define a repeatable method for cross-functional alignment.
Legacy Product Line Rationalization :
Support data center portfolio efforts by helping clean up legacy product lines and marketing materials. This includes updating documentation and identifying obsolete items.
Website Data Preparation :
With a new website launch underway, the intern may assist in organizing and validating product data to ensure accurate representation online.
