Position Overview

In BPM’s Valuation team, you will work directly with firm leaders and client executives to provide financial due diligence and transaction‑related services. The Transaction Support Service Line assists clients with M&A activities, buy‑side & sell‑side diligence, and working‑capital support.

Responsibilities

Deliver high‑quality valuation, financial modeling, and transaction‑related services to a wide variety of clients.

Identify critical valuation issues and leverage problem‑solving skills to propose and execute strategies for resolution.

Stay abreast of current business and economic developments relevant to business valuation and specific industries.

Perform reviews of third‑party appraisals for audit support purposes.

Assist in business development efforts and collaborate with other BPM practices to build cross‑functional relationships.

Maintain positive and productive client relationships, enhancing services through effective use of technology, tools, and project management skills.

Be responsive and efficient while enjoying the culture of a high‑performing team devoted to excellent client service.

Champion sustainable workplace practices by supporting remote‑first operations, promoting paperless workflows, and participating in recycling initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, applied mathematics or a related field (advanced degree preferred).

Minimum 2–4 years’ experience in business valuation at a valuation, consulting, accounting, or investment banking firm.

Progress toward or achievement of CFA, ASA, CPA, and / or CVA considered a plus.

Strong foundation of fair‑value analysis under financial reporting requirements.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (advanced analytical tools such as Crystal Ball preferred).

Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal skills; solid understanding of capital markets and client / staff management.

Strong problem‑solving skills and a growth mindset.

Understanding of derivatives and advanced modeling techniques for life sciences and technology industries strongly preferred.

Additional Details

Candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area or Southern California preferred.

Competitive base salary and bonus structure; relocation assistance not available.

Unlimited PTO for new associates, plus healthcare and retirement benefits.

$75,000 – $115,000 per year
