With offices across North Carolina, our Triad region is currently seeking a Physician Assistant to join their team in our Northline Avenue Office. The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner role is needed for a busy orthopedic urgent care. The Physician Assistant with guidance and support of the supervising physicians, will provide efficient comprehensive orthopedic care including imaging services, rehabilitation and pain management. EmergeOrtho allows providers to use the full extent of their licensure. EmergeOrtho' s well-established program, training protocols, and physician management support the provider's independent medical judgment in a fast paced outpatient orthopedic setting. The schedule for this role is two shifts weekdays shifts, 8am-5pm and 11am-8pm, and weekends 10am-3pm.

- apply today and help shape the future of orthopedic care! RequirementsQualifications and Experience - Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program
- Physician Assistant license required
- Medical training from an approved program
- At least two years of experience as a Physician Assistant
- Good knowledge of medical office software such as but not limited to Microsoft Word, Outlook, and medical practice software
- Familiarity with EMR programs
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent documentation skills
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following - Patient evaluation by performing appropriate history and physical exams
- Ordering laboratory, radiological and special studies
- Performing diagnostic procedures such as, but not limited to, physical examination, phlebotomy, catheterization, joint injections, and aspirations and administering of vaccines
- Performing therapeutic procedures such as, but not limited to, suturing of wounds, foreign body removal, I&D of abscesses, reduction of fractures and dislocations, splinting, casting, and injections
- Assisting the surgeon in the OR as designated
- Reading and interpreting imaging studies and laboratory reports
- Initiation of life-saving measures as needed
- Diagnosing and treating minor illnesses of employees of EmergeOrtho, P.A.
- Telephone contact with patients as appropriate
Other - Involvement in QI and research programs
- Attendance at educational and department meetings
- Intermittent OR, UC, and other clinic coverage required
