Pay range : $20.00 - $21.00 / hour (first year interns $20.00 / hour, returning interns $21.00 / hour)

Employment Status : Temporary (May - August full-time, 40 hours per week)

(September - December part-time, up to 20 hours per week)

About this position :

Intern will provide general safety support to the Hydro Operation and Maintenance departments. The intern will work in both the office and field environment.

About this job :

• Conduct research, document and develop reports
• Provide assistance to Company safety professionals and conduct ergonomic evaluations, work site inspections, safety meeting presentations, industrial hygiene sampling (e.g. noise, indoor air quality) field inspections, visits, etc.; capacity projects and develop job hazard analysis support, behavioral safety support, safety audits, hazard communication, respirator hazards in the workplace, performance of employee sampling for air containments and VPP objectives.
• May be requested to conduct research on various safety / health related issues
• Participate in organizational work meetings
• Lifting of materials up to 35 pounds
• Travel within the service territory 15% of time
