Job Summary :

This position is responsible for safely providing predictive preventative and emergency mechanical and electrical maintenance services for production and infrastructure systems as necessary to maintain process efficiency for La-Z-Boy operations and facilities.

Job Description :

JOB RESPONSIBILITIESPerform routine scheduled preventive and emergency maintenance on plant electrical and mechanical systems and repair adjust and test equipment and components to ensure that systems function or examine equipment structures materials or components to identify causes of errors or identify use computer to manage work orders document work and requisition parts / materials to accomplish required maintenance in an efficient and organized and cooperate with machine operators; operate equipment to detect equipment problems analyze malfunctions and verify system correct types of equipment tools or materials needed to complete faulty equipment to diagnose malfunctions using test equipment or software and applying knowledge of the functional operation of electronic units and effectively as a team-member and coordinate activities with others as level two multi craft will be expected to be able to complete above responsibilities with intermittent supervision and assistance. They will be able to use mechanical electrical equipment and techniques to conduct intermediate trouble shooting and repairs. Equipment would include but not limited to electrical multi-meter dial indicators strain gauges belt tension gauges belt wear gages computer aids to read and manipulate ladder logic in PLCs and other controllers. This role is expected to understand and demonstrate proficient skills in all maintenance competencies. Follow health and safety standardsMaintain a clean workplace following 5S standardsPerform other tasks as assignedJOB REQUIREMENTS : Equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the above duties. Associates Degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology Mechatronics Electrical and Instrumentation Electro-Mechanical Automated Manufacturing Technology or Electrical Engineering Technology preferred. Must be knowledgeable adhere to and enforce stated safety policies and procedures. Incorporate and maintain safe behavior into all activities and consistently comply with all established safety and health policies and knowledge training 3-5 years experience and must be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the following-Ability to diagnose troubleshoot repair and document simple and complex machine malfunctions to mechanical and electrical components devices and / or to read and interpret technical documents including diagrams drawings blueprints maintenance manuals schematics or ladder logic diagrams. Ability to perform necessary welding fabrication and machine shop tasks incidental to maintenance and repair communication skills both verbal and customer service PURPOSE : We are La-Z-Boy Incorporated.
