    We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic  Medical Billing Associate / Specialist  to join our team! As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing medical billing claims, answer questions related to billing, collecting necessary information or documentation from clients, record billing information, resolving billing issues, and ensuring timely reimbursement from insurance companies. The ideal candidate has excellent attention to detail, strong customer service skills, motivated, and is comfortable spending much of the day on the phone and using a computer.

    Responsibilities

  • Process medical billing claims accurately and in a timely manner
  • Verify insurance eligibility
  • Submit claims to insurance companies and follow up on unpaid or denied claims
  • Resolve billing discrepancies and address insurance-related inquiries from providers
  • Work closely  with clients to ensure compliance with billing regulations
  • Obtain missing information needed for billing
  • Assist clients with inquiries, reports, and other requests
  • Enter and update all billing and payment information without errors
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical billing regulations, guidelines, and insurance requirements
  • Assist with other administrative tasks and duties, collaborate with other department as needed
  • Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree desirable
  • Previous medical billing experience preferred but not required. Candidates eager to learn and take on challenges are welcome.
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong ability to adapt to changing environments, resilient, calm and focused under stress
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organization skills and excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation
  • Competent use of computer systems, software, office applications, 10-key calculators, and internet
