Production Clerk
The Production Clerk actively supports manufacturing and/or production process by coordinating tasks, tracking materials, and maintaining records to facilitate efficient production flow.
How you will make contributions that matter
- Perform accurate data entry and reporting of ingredients, raw material usage, and inventories into the ERP system to support usage and inventory integrity on a daily basis
- Support inventory control activities - frequency can include daily weekly, monthly, fiscal quarter-end and fiscal year-end.
- Review, analyze and resolve material inventory variances in the Enterprise Control Component (ECC) in support of receiving, mix/blend and filling operations.
- Investigate and communicate material usage inventory discrepancies with leadership team.
- Monitor system functionality, resolve transactions and data entry errors or incidents to prevent production delays.
- By production line, record daily production volume and product activity and validate OEE in support of both daily and weekly production plan.
- Help to identify projects based on data collected from shift notes and downtime logs.
- Assist production leadership in developing training materials, coaching, updating, implementing, and maintaining procedures.
- Use a variety of data analysis and SAP tools to discover the most impactful insights.
- Perform typical administrative duties: filing, faxing, scanning, emailing, report writing, and other clerical duties.
- Support internal/external audits.
- Perform good housekeeping within established housekeeping guidelines.
- Adhere to the Saputo code of ethics and actively apply the Saputo values.
- Work together professionally in a team environment with coworkers and other department personnel.
- Monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Other duties as required by management
You are best suited for the role if you have the following experience, skills, and qualifications
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and maintain organized records
- Accurate data entry and record-keeping are crucial
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with team members and other departments
- Proficiency in using computer software for data entry, record-keeping, and communication (SAP/DMS)
- Ability to identify and resolve issues related to production, inventory, or scheduling
- Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift certification, if applicable
- Demonstrated work history
- A working knowledge of food manufacturing acronyms (SQF, HACCP, SOP, 5S, GMP, etc.)
- Good attendance is a must

Physical Demands
- Periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to work for periods of time in a manufacturing environment which includes but not limited to noise, changing temperatures (hot, wet, cold, humid), standing/walking/bending/stooping/climbing stairs, maneuvering around manufacturing equipment consistently throughout the shift
- Physical lifting up to 40lbs unassisted
