Job Summary
Responsible for the assessment of respiratory patients with acute and chronic illnesses, to ensure delivery of clinically appropriate respiratory care procedures as prescribed by the medical staff for neonate, pediatric, adolescent and adult patients.
The Clinical Respiratory Therapist II serves as a role model and resource providing clinical leadership and service coordination that assures consistently high-quality care and facilitating continuous improvement in respiratory care services.
The Clinical Respiratory Therapist II is responsible for providing patient care and assessment; interdisciplinary consultation; staff, patient, family, and community education; and performance monitoring.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $71.72 - $71.72 (Hourly Rate).

Required Qualifications
Minimum one year experience
Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
License / Certification
Current and valid California Respiratory Care Practitioner License.CA RCP
Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Therapy.
BLS, NRP required
Current basic life support for healthcare providers (HCP) certification. In addition :
Pediatric Clinical Team Leaders - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
Neonatal Clinical Team Leaders - Neonatal Resuscitation Program
Adult Clinical Team Leaders - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
