A Southland Holdings company, Johnson Bros., is currently accepting resumes for an experienced Asphalt / Roadway Foreman  for our large heavy civil projects.
Must have experience with operating skid steers / rollers / paving machines / broom sweeper and loaders!
Responsibilities-
- Provide overall leadership and direct the activities of field crew employees. Work with field employees to increase productivity
 - Review projects to focus on equipment and manpower; review job costs and equipment utilization reports. Plan and review projects with Project Managers, Estimators and Superintendents.
 - Check equipment to monitor for repairs, utilization, abuse or neglect.
 - Participate in safety-related training programs to increase skill set and knowledge base.
 - Perform jobsite quality control checks.
 - Ensure quality assurance on all phases of work relating to spreading, rolling, compacting and patching asphalt to form surfaces of highways, streets, parking lots, driveways, etc.
 - Monitor all job site operations for compliance with contract requirements for noise and dust control, non-interruption of Government activities, and utility shutdown procedures.
 - Actively promote a safety conscious culture. Follow all safety regulations. Mentor all new hires on crew.
 
Education / Experience :
High School education required.2 + years’ experience as a Foreman.Prior roadway, civil, paving construction experience.Prior heavy equipment operator experienceCertifications :
OSHA Safety Course Certification (30 hour)CPR CertificationFull-Time Employee Benefits :
