Job Description :
We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-focused Instrument Fitter Journeyman to support the installation, calibration, and maintenance of instrumentation systems in industrial and construction environments. This role requires precision, technical expertise, and a strong understanding of process control systems and tubing installation.
Key Responsibilities :
Install and route instrument tubing , conduit, and wiring for control systems and field instrumentation.
Fabricate and install union banks , tubing trays , and capillary tubing systems .
Perform pipe stress tests , pressure testing, and ensure proper slope for differential pressure transmitters.
Mount and connect instruments such as pressure transmitters , flow meters , thermocouples , and control valves .
Use hand and power tools to bend, thread, and secure tubing —both manually and with machines.
Read and interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, and schematics to ensure accurate installation.
Assist with loop checks , instrument calibration , and commissioning activities.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety and quality standards.
Qualifications :
Valid Journeyman Instrument Fitter certification or equivalent field experience.
Proficient in working with stainless steel and copper tubing , including capillary systems.
Strong knowledge of instrumentation tools , including tube benders, threaders, and calibration devices.
Familiarity with ISA standards , site-specific procedures, and OSHA safety regulations.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments.
Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and communication abilities.
