Mid Level Backend Engineer

A company is looking for a Mid Level Backend Engineer to join their cloud team.

Key Responsibilities

Contribute to feature development across the data platform and public API services

Collaborate with product and platform engineers on system design, architecture, and data flow

Develop, test, deploy, and monitor Scala-based backend services while supporting migration to C#

Required Qualifications

4-7 years of backend engineering experience, with recent experience in a JVM-based codebase

Exposure to C# or interest in learning it as part of a migration path

Strong understanding of APIs, messaging systems (Kafka), and modern data stores (Postgres, DynamoDB, OpenSearch)

Experience building services in a cloud-native environment, preferably AWS

Working knowledge of containers and Kubernetes
