Special Education Teachers for 2025-2026 School Year

\n

\nCharter Schools in Chicago (west and south side of city) seek full time, Licensed (LBSI or II) Special Education teachers.

\n

\n Required Qualifications : \n \n\t

  • An active Illinois Special Education license is required for this position. Hold Illinois PEL (Professional Educator License) in Special Education LBSI / II). \n\t
  • Experience working collaboratively in a student-centered environment.\n\t
  • 1-2 years’ experience a plus. New grads will be considered.\n\t
  • Credentials to be collected prior to and upon hire.\n

\n Responsibilities : \n\n \n\t

  • Teach as part of a department or grade level team as mutually agreed.\n\t
  • Able to implement and support school policies, participate in orientations, meetings (staff and parent) and other conferences / institute days as directed.\n\t
  • Implement school education programs and philosophy.\n\t
  • Monday-Friday as per school schedule. Full time (limited part time opportunities available).\n\t
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.\n

    • \n Work Hours : \n\n \n\t

  • Follow school hours Monday-Friday; depending on the building’s hours.\n\t
  • @35 hours / week.\n

    • \n Salary and Benefits : \n\n \n\t

  • $39 / hr for new grad, other salary based upon experience. Weekly pay. \n\t
