Position Summary

The Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for managing the company's vendor invoices, purchase orders, and payments. This position ensures that all payables are processed accurately, on time, and in compliance with company policies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to communicate effectively across departments and with vendors.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and process vendor invoices for accuracy, proper authorization, and correct coding.
• Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents.
• Enter invoices into the accounting system and ensure timely payment according to vendor terms.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
• Maintain vendor files and ensure accurate W-9 and tax information.
• Support month-end closing by preparing accruals and reconciliations.
• Assist with annual 1099 preparation and reporting.
• Collaborate with purchasing, receiving, and other departments to resolve invoice issues.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and assist with automation or system updates.

Requirements

Education : Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or related field (bachelor's preferred) or 2-4 years of Accounts Payable experience, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
